It’s estimated that over 10 million tons of toothpaste tubes end up in landfills each year, and although some brands have tried to make their packaging more environmentally friendly, most still use plastic as the main ingredient
in their tube containers. With SHINE, the opening where the toothpaste
is dispensed is much smaller eliminating waste.

Honorable Mention in 2023 PPA Student Design Challenge

Given the ask from the PPA, the goal of this project was to design a new paperboard package and packaging components for an original personal care product that is typically packaged primarily in plastic.​
